A day at the races...

Yesterday marked my annual
pilgrimage to Saratoga Racetrack in Saratoga Springs, NY to watch the horse
races. I’ve made it there at least
once a season for the past five years, and the place never seems to
disappoint. I’ve never been that
big a winner (probably because I’m really not that big of a gambler). I lost a bit yesterday—a grand total of
$4.60, but most of that was due to completely reckless betting during race
five. All of my winnings yesterday
were either due to “wins” or “shows”, though I did give a few quinella and
trifecta bets a try. Despite how
ridiculously hot it was out in the sun, it was a really good time. Considering my weekends are pretty much
booked from now through Labor Day, I’m doubtful I’ll make it back before the season’s
end. Still, there’s always 2008! Till Next Time—

Well I lost more than $4.60. And next year we'll all be crashing at 1020!
